Counselling is a process where the counselor helps or guides a client to solve his/her own problems/difficulties. It does not involve giving advice or directing a client.
Counseling is done in a private and confidential setting (separate cabin) enabling the client to explore various aspects of their life and feelings, talking about them freely and openly in a way that is rarely possible with friends or family.
Bottled up feelings such as anger, anxiety, grief and embarrassment can become very intense and counseling of us an opportunity to explore them, with the possibility of making them easier to understand
The counselor will encourage the expression of feelings and as a result of their training will be able t accept and reflect the client's problems without becoming burdened by them.
In ICSK the counselor is available in the campus on all working days from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm.
The student will be directed to the counselor by the class teachers, subject teacher, parents and in some cases the students walk in themselves.

The counselor treats all the information shared by the clients confidentially. Information shared with the counselor will not be released to any one, except under certain unusual and rare circumstances.
